 Obliged - Corrupt - Compromised

The Seventy years political history has been summarized by a political strategist in these three words. infrastructure of our politics has been based on quid pro quo. Behind the scenes wheeling and dealings decides the fate of the impoverished nation. A nation of 220 million people have been made stooges by the powerful, exploiting their religious, linguistic, regional, sectarian, cultural sentiments and biases to satiate their greed. 

These are not the three words only. these are the three stages of getting done what they need to be done. The first step is quid pro quo, oblige me I will oblige you. Mutual benefit of both the parties, interestingly neither of the party belongs to or cares about the people. powerful obliging the powerful at cost of the poor. Interestingly both make people realize they are serving them and the nincompoop think them their Messiah. one of the party earns money in this process and the other party gets benefit in the form of land, property, contract, license, leases, long term benefits, all in the name of welfare of the public. The earned money is not kept in Pakistan but in the offshore accounts and we the people still raise slogans for them and fight for them. we know and recognize them all but slavishly adore them and plead for them by hurling abuses against the opponents and declaring the opponents are as corrupt as my leader is. This is the height of Moral Bankruptcy that instead of criticizing the corrupt and corruption we plead their innocence.

The system which is based on corruption can not progress.

The whole system has been compromised by the rich to exploit, loot, plunder the poor, impoverished and disadvantaged, to grab whatever they have had and to refuse what they need and deserve.

The only solution is the "Back to BOOK" to take guidelines for the social, political, economic progress. otherwise the present system has been made to fleece the have-nots.
